Description: Fulbright is the largest U.S. international exchange program, offering opportunities for students, scholars, and professionals to undertake international graduate study, advanced research, university teaching, and teaching in elementary and secondary schools worldwide. The competition is open to U.S. citizens who will have a bachelor's degree by the beginning date of the grant. All grants include round-trip transportation to the host country, a monetary living stipend, and limited health benefits.

Description: Gates Cambridge Scholarships are highly competitive, full-cost scholarships awarded to outstanding applicants from outside the UK to pursue a full-time graduate degree in any subject available at the University of Cambridge. Established through the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, 90 new scholarships are awarded each year: 40 to U.S. citizens and 50 to citizens of all countries (excluding the UK).

Knight-Hennessy Scholars Program

The largest fully endowed scholars program in the world, the Knight-Hennessy foundation seeks to curate a multidisciplinary community of scholars, offer a platform for purposeful leadership development, and empower students to effect large-scale positive impact in the world.

Description: Marshall Scholarships enable young Americans of high ability to study for a degree in the United Kingdom. Up to 40 Marshall Scholars (with a minimum GPA of 3.7) are selected each year to study at graduate level at an UK institution in any field of study. Scholars receive grants for cost of living, books, research, and daily travel; fares to and from the United States and, where applicable, support for a dependent spouse is also included.

NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP)

Description: The National Science Foundation (NSF) Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP) recognizes and supports outstanding graduate students who are pursuing research-based master’s and doctoral degrees in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) and STEM education fields. The Fellowship provides an annual stipend of $37,000 for three years. Applications are welcome from students who are applying to graduate school or who are currently enrolled.

Organization of American States Scholarship (OAS)
Who can apply: Seniors and alumni
Description: OAS Academic Scholarships are awarded to undertake graduate studies and/or graduate research leading to a degree at a university of higher learning education institution in an OAS Member State. Studies may be carried out onsite or online, or under a combination of both. Candidates must return to reside in the sponsoring country for a period of no less than twenty-four (24) months after completing the program of study covered by the OAS scholarship.
