Welcome to Academic Technology

Academic Technology is a vital part of teaching and learning at Cornell. The Digital Liberal Arts Coordinator, Audiovisual Specialist, Technology Peer Consultants, and Audiovisual student workers work to support Cornell students, faculty, and staff through training, purchase of new technologies, and technology support. The ATS is an open lab space with computers, scanners, printers, and tablets for use within the studio and various equipment that can be checked out.

Our Mission

Academic Technology supports students, faculty, and staff in a variety of ways by offering training for faculty interested in implementing new technologies in the classroom, as well as technical support for using Cornell's current learning management system, Moodle. Through Audiovisual Services, faculty can check out projectors, podcasting kits, cameras, and other equipment for classes and academic work. For students, the Center for Teaching and Learning houses the Academic Technology Studio, an open space for students to learn and collaborate with peer technology consultants on projects--personal, professional, or academic. Students are also able to use Audiovisual Services, and can check out a variety of equipment, including microphones and video cameras.
