Traveling to campus by air, rail, or bus
Our local airport, the Eastern Iowa Airport (CID) is approximately 20 minutes from campus and offers a full suite of car rental options. Amtrak's closest station is Mount Pleasant, Iowa and various bus options can get you near to campus.

When you're visiting campus you have several options for overnight accomodations from Cornell's Brackett House B&B that's just steps from campus, to local boutique and chain hotels and AirBnB offerings in Mount Vernon. It's also a short drive to Cedar Rapids or Iowa City if you have a larger hotel chain you prefer.
