Vehicles & Parking
Parking on the Cornell College campus
Cornell college has designated parking lots for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Students, faculty, and staff need to purchase an annual parking permit in order to use campus parking lots. Visitors may park in designated areas without a parking permit. ADA compliant parking is available in all lots and in the Thomas Commons circle for vehicles with appropriate permits. Cornell also offers an EV parking station in Lot S at the Small Athetics and Wellness Center.
Street parking is also available around campus and in downtown Mount Vernon for free. In colder months, please observe the designated snow emergency routes and move vehicles accordingly. The office of Campus Safety will alert campus residents when a snow emergency is declared so you may move your vehicles out of those routes.

EV parking station
Cornell is pleased to offer an electric vehicle charging station on campus beginning in the 2022-23 academic year. During this pilot year, there will be no charge for students, employees, guests, or community members to use the charging station.
Two dedicated parking spaces and the J1772 charging station are located on the west side of the SAW. There is a 4-hour limit per vehicle per day. Vehicles parked in the charging spaces for more than four hours and non-electric vehicles parked in the spaces for any period of time may be ticketed and towed.
