2021 Commencement Recap

Cornell College celebrated the Class of 2021 with an in-person, outdoor, physically distanced ceremony on Van Metre Field at Ash Park, a first for Cornell. In its 163rd Commencement, Cornell conferred degrees on 253 graduates. Maddix Stovie was the senior speaker and Associate Professor of Psychology Steven Neese delivered the 2021 faculty speech.

“Your success in the block plan shows the strongest of work ethics and a mindset of persistence,” Professor Neese told the graduates. “These are the unmeasurable outcomes of your time here that matter most for workplace success, graduate training success, medical school success, and quite simply, life success, that put you ahead of anyone. You can do anything in 18 days. You did. You are ready.”
