Meet Your Orientation Staff

Flock Leaders are current students trained to support and guide new students, like you. Your leader will contact you in August.

Your leader will facilitate a small peer group that you will be a part of. They will get to know you, help you meet other new students, and show you how to get involved on campus. Their goal is to help you make a successful transition to Cornell. Your peer group will meet several times each day during New Student Orientation (NSO). Your leader will continue to check on you throughout the first three blocks to make sure that you are connected to services, resources, and friends.

Flock Leader candidates go through a highly selective interview process during the spring semester. Ideal staff members have a positive attitude, are dependable, communicate effectively, and work well with a team. Your Flock Leaders are the best Cornell has to offer. They are personable and responsible community members.
