Welcome families of new students!
The transition to college can be an exciting and challenging time for everyone, and we are here to assist you and your student through this process. The information throughout the New Student Orientation (NSO) web site is specifically designed for your student, however we encourage you to look at this information and be familiar with it as you will serve as a valuable resource to your son or daughter throughout their four years at Cornell.
There are several tasks your student will need to complete prior to their arrival on campus, itemized on a personalized online checklist, available Spring 2014. We ask that you become familiar with this checklist and assist them in completing everything.
Parent Orientation and News
We invite you to participate in a one day orientation for family members on Move-In Day. The Family Schedule is located online. More information about Move-In Day will be available on the Residence Life web site. We also invite you to take a look at the Parent's Gateway web site (available from the Cornell homepage by clicking on "Parents") that is updated regularly and serves as a great resource for parents and families. The first Parent Newsletter can be read online in August 2014.
Again, we are thrilled that you have made the decision to be a part of the Cornell family and look forward to seeing you over the coming years!
