Important Dates for Resident Assistants

2024-2025

The following dates are tentative and subject to change. Please note these dates and be prepared to discuss with Residence Life any possible conflicts.

Spring:

• All Staff Meet-and-Greet: Tuesday, April 16th, 2024 @ 8:00 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. Location TBD.

Summer:

• Summer training website link will be sent via e-mail the week of July 1, 2024.
• The pre-training assessment, all summer training modules and final pre-training quiz must be completed by 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 2, 2024.

Fall:

• You must arrive on campus and be ready to begin training by 1:00 p.m. on Monday, August 12, 2024.
• You are able to move in between 9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 10, or  9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 11, 2024, or 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Monday, August 12, 2024; please be in contact with your ADRL to coordinate.
• Keys will be available to pick-up at the Campus Safety Office in Ebersole.

Academic Year:

• You must attend Resident Assistant staff meetings on Tuesday evenings during the first, second, and third week of each block.  Meetings are scheduled from 8:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.  Your supervisor will communicate where these meetings will take place.
• You must attend a 1:1 meeting with your supervisor each block.  These meetings will be scheduled at times that work for you and your supervisor.

Fall Break:

• All buildings will have on-call coverage during Fall break.  While volunteers from each staff will be sought first, please be aware you may be assigned to be on-call during this time.

Winter Break:

• You must plan to stay on campus until 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 19, 2024 to assist with residence hall closing.
• You may request to stay on campus until 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 20, 2024 if this is better for your schedule. Please coordinate with your supervisor.

Winter Training:

• You must arrive on campus and be ready to begin training by 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 11, 2025.
• You are able to move as early as 9:00 a.m. on Friday, January 10, 2025; please be in contact with your supervisor to coordinate.
• Depending on the number of incoming new and transfer students for Block 5, some RAs may be asked to arrive on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, to assist with winter orientation.

Spring Break:

• All buildings will have on-call coverage during Spring break.  While volunteers from each staff will be sought first, please be aware you may be assigned to be on-call during this time.

End of Year:

• You must plan to stay on campus until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 11, 2025 to assist with residence hall closing following Commencement. 
• You must move out prior to 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 12, 2025. If you'd like to request an extension please be in contact with your supervisor to coordinate.
• If you are a senior you are expected to assist with all closing activities through Saturday, May 10, 2024. You may opt-out of assisting with closing activities on Commencement Sunday, however, you would then need to move out of your building by the general student check-out time on Sunday, May 11, 2024.  

*Note: Every building is staffed during Block Breaks and there will be on-call responsibilities during these times.  While volunteers from each staff will be sought first, please be aware you may be assigned to be on-call during this time.

2023-2024

Spring:
