Studio Lessons

Studio lessons are taught one-on-one with a studio faculty member and meet once a week Blocks 1-4 and 5-8. Lessons are required for music majors and scholarship recipients and are open to all qualified student musicians. Additional fees may apply.

Studio lessons allow students to develop their technical and performance skills through the study of repertoire. Practice rooms are available in Armstrong Hall and the Music Practice House. At the end of Blocks 4 and 8 jury performances may be required for students enrolled in studio lessons.

Enrollment in studio lessons is concurrent with enrollment in Music Seminar (MUS 701), which offers performance opportunities to student musicians.
