Research and internships
At Cornell College, students in history acquire the tools they need to find data, ascertain its veracity, and synthesize it into a coherent narrative that provides perspective and, ultimately, understanding.
Among those tools are research skills, a strong emphasis within the Department of History. Students are encouraged to stretch themselves by participating in a variety of research projects, both on campus and in the field. The skills acquired, developed and honed at Cornell serve students well, no matter what their career choices.
