Open Field

Open Field, Cornell's annual literary magazine, premiered in 1968 and was edited by nationally recognized poet and former Cornell professor, Robert Dana. Sponsored by the Department of English and Creative Writing and advised by faculty member Rebecca Entel, Robert P. Dana Director of the Center for the Literary Arts, the journal is entirely student-edited and designed and features creative writing (poetry, short fiction, and creative nonfiction) and artwork by Cornell students. Each spring, the journal debuts at the department's awards night.

Contribute to Open Field

Students from all majors are invited to submit creative writing and artwork, in accordance with the submission guidelines.

Students may also apply to serve on the selection committee and the editorial board, collaborating with the faculty advisor to select material and design the publication.
