Ajit Chavan
Assistant Professor of Computer Science
Teaches introductory, intermediate, and advanced courses such as Data Structures and Algorithms, Computer Organization, and Operating Systems. His main research interest is parallel and distributed systems. He is also interested in developing big data applications and designing infrastructure to store and process large datasets. Other areas of interest are machine learning and data science.
Lauren Jepsen
Assistant Professor of Computer Science
Teaches courses in computer science. She has completed research on applied machine learning to multiple molecular dynamics simulations of kinesin, using molecular dynamics simulations to detect the binding signature of KBP on kif15, and nucleotide and polymerization effects on actin structure and dynamics.
Leon Tabak
Professor of Computer Science
Special interests in new educational media and computer graphics. He is active in the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers professional society, taking students to visit local companies, universities, laboratories, and to conferences. He also supports the College Board’s Advanced Placement Program by leading workshops and teaching short courses for high school teachers of computer science. Ph.D. in computer science, Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
