President's Office Staff

The president's office is located on the second floor of Old Sem. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

  Jonathan Brand became Cornell's 15th president in 2011. He previously served as president of Doane College and as special assistant and counsel to the president at Grinnell College. He holds a law degree from Cornell University, a master's degree in French literature from the University of Michigan, and a bachelor's degree in history and French from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

  John works on a range of special projects of institutional importance as they arise. He provides leadership for the design, continuous improvement, and implementation of strategies that build an exceptional employee experience, support a high-performing culture, and enhance organizational effectiveness.

  Executive Assistant to the President

  RuthAnn provides administrative support to the President and assists the executive team and President’s Council in special projects. She is also the Secretary of the Board of Trustees.
