Gary L. Menges Study Abroad Endowment Fund

The Gary L. Menges Study Abroad Endowment Fund was established to honor Gary L. Menges ’59. Gary majored in history and political science at Cornell. He traveled extensively during his life and career, believing strongly in the transformational experiences provided by off-campus study opportunities.

Eligibility requirements

If you are a Cornell student with demonstrated financial need and plan to participate in an international off-campus study opportunity, you may be eligible for the Menges Award. The Ingenuity in Action committee determines if the Menges Fund is the appropriate funding source and the award amount based off of your scholarship application materials.

The committee considers the following criteria when determining your eligibility:

• You are a Cornell student interested in participating in international off-campus study
• You have demonstrated financial need
