NSO+ Early Orientation
NSO+ is a two-day program that takes place right before New Student Orientation (NSO) and is designed specifically for incoming students who are concerned about easing the transition to college and may have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder or a high level of anxiety when dealing with new situations.
NSO+ Early Orientation takes place during the two days before all other new students arrive on campus.
A benefit of this program is getting to campus before everyone else is here and acclimating a little bit before the fun and noise of orientation begins. Typical activities include an individualized campus tour, meals together, and workshops based on the interests of the attendees. Family members, including siblings, are welcome to attend as well.
Please keep in mind that you must be signed up to participate.
If you are an incoming student and you feel you may be eligible for this program, please email the Coordinator of Disability Services for more information.
