Hello, I had just got the March Dolphin Log issue and on page 13 there are 4 wings of a new species of flies and I found some differences. A&C look the same but B is narrower than A&C but otherwise A,B&C are the same. D has a very small dot between 2 vanes I don’t know how else to explain it.
Hi my name is----- I am e-mailing you about your request about ways to tell apart the flies found in Costa Rica. Well this is what I discovered, fly c seems to have more coarse hairs on top left wing area is rounder than that of fly a’s same area.
I see a difference in the wings in the March “Dolphin Log”. The difference is at the corner by the number the little things that come up are all different.
The difference is that all have different size and different shapes of the spots! B and C don’t have stripes.
We found out that the holes are bigger in size. The connection on wing D is longest connection point. On wing C two of the holes connect, and none of the others do. Miss Ford’s 3/4 classroom
