About me: I am a University of Iowa alum ('22) who studied anthropology, Spanish, and history. Raised by an educator, I have always valued what all levels of education can do not only for the individual person but also for the collective societies we live in. During a semester abroad in Ecuador, I also learned about alternative and decolonized education at the grassroots level, forever changing my perspective on how we can teach and learn. During my "down time," I enjoy spending time with family and friends, watching PBS documentaries, and taking care of my plants!
One place I recommend students visit on campus: One iconic place all students should visit on Cornell's campus is McLennan College Hall. The majority of anthropology and history classes take place in this historic building, so it immediately became a personal favorite of mine due to my affinity for those disciplines. Additionally, the 1857 building has recently been renovated to include ADA accessibility, demonstrating Cornell's commitment to constantly improving students' lives while maintaining tradition and preserving history.
What I can do for you: As an admissions counselor who mainly works with international students, I will be able to assist students with a variety of needs, including visa application, cost distribution and scholarship opportunities, and adjusting to college life in a new place and culture.
