At Cornell, we want students like you, who will ask tough questions, seek unusual answers, enrich the life of the college, and benefit from the education Cornell offers.

When we review applications, we evaluate each applicant holistically. As you complete your file, make sure that you have told us everything we should know about you before we make admission decisions. You can also add information, such as an updated transcript or a new standardized test score, to your application at any time.

Since we believe you will be a good fit at Cornell, we want you to apply for admission to Cornell College today.

A complete application will include:

  • An essay
  • Official copies of your academic record
  • A letter of recommendation from an academic counselor or instructor
  • Official copies of your examination results: TOEFL minimum score of 550 on the paper-based exam or a 213 on the computer-based exam or an IELTS score of 6.0 or above. TOEFL and IELTS scores must be submitted directly to the college.
  • We also welcome, but do not require, SAT I or ACT scores.
  • The International Student Application for Financial Aid
  • International Student Certification of Finances
  • Bank statements and/or letters regarding funding

The required application fee is waived for students who complete the application process by December 15. Learn more about applying on our admission website.
