PDF Files

I use .pdf files because they are readable by almost any computer with software that is free to the user. If you find that your computer does not open a .pdf file when you think it should, please do the following things before you conclude there is something wrong with the file.

  1. Make sure that you have Adobe Acrobat Reader, version 4 or higher, installed on your computer. To check your version consult the window as the product loads, or after loading, click Help|About Adobe Acrobat.
  2. If you don't have Adobe Acrobat Reader, version 4 or higher, click on the Get Acrobat Reader icon below and follow the instructions for loading it on your machine.
  3. Save the .pdf file to your hard drive. Remember where you put it! Open Adobe Acrobat reader. Click File|Open and browse to the location where you saved the .pdf file. Highlight the file and click Open.
