CHANGES IN PHYSICAL EDUCATION MAJORS
BEGINNING 2006-07
The name of the Physical Education Department has been changed to Kinesiology. Therefore, in time the prefix of KIN will be used for all courses.
Changes have been made to both Physical Education Majors; the Fitness Major and the Teaching Major. Students are strongly encouraged to be in close contact with members of the Physical Education faculty concerning their questions, concerns, and interests.
Students may choose to complete requirements for the “Fitness Major” or “ Teaching Major” according to the old requirements or may elect to follow the new requirements for the “Exercise Science Major” or “Physical Education Teaching Major”.
The changes are provided below.
The former “Fitness Major” has been significantly changed and is now entitled “Exercise Science Major”. The specific changes are provided in the table.
