One Extraordinary Year

A Study of the Experiences and Outcomes of Students at Cornell College

During the 2006-07 academic year, we will undertake an extensive study of the experiences and outcomes of Cornell students. This study will allow us to (1) celebrate our successes, (2) identify areas for improvement, and (3) prepare for our 2007 consultative visit with the Higher Learning Commission. Specific research questions include:

  1. What are the experiences of Cornell students, in- and out-of-class?
  2. What educational outcomes do Cornell students identify and/or exhibit?
  3. What are the experiences and perceptions of facutly and staff teaching and working with Cornell students?

Throughout the academic year, we will be conducting focus group interviews with and administering surveys to various campus communities. We hope to include as many voices as possible and learn as much as possible about the meaning of a Cornell education. We look forward to hearing from YOU!
