Mapping Network Drives in Windows

Students can store files on our servers in two different locations, your Home drive and your Web drive.

Your Home drive is a good place to put important class work, like Word documents. There are two major advantages to using your Home drive, you can access the files from any connected computer on campus and the files are backed up nightly.

Any files put in your Web drive will show up on the World Wide Web at http://people.cornellcollege.edu/username.

Installation files for classroom related programs are stored in the  Applications drive.  Please feel free to use any of these programs while you are on campus.  Please note that due to licensing restrictions, some of the applications will not work unless you are connected to the Cornell wired network or the CornellWireless network.

It is also recommended that you map the Assignments drive.  This is where faculty members can store information and assignments for class.
