Staff Accountant/Payroll Coordinator

Applications are being accepted for the position of staff accountant/payroll coordinator. Some of this position’s responsibilities include processing all payrolls for the college; providing back-up for deposits and accounts receivable. This position will also process accounts payable check runs; reconcile and report federal grant activity, reconcile gift clearing account and determine if gift is posted to the proper account; reconcile pledges receivable; perform unitrust funds management, recordkeeping, and tax reporting.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and a minimum of three years of recent payroll experience. This position requires a high level of organizational skills, a working knowledge of current federal and state payroll laws, regulations and filing requirements, spreadsheet and reconciliation expertise, ability to handle multi-task projects. It also requires the ability to effectively communicate and interact professionally in a variety of situations. Ability to utilize the Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel and PowerPoint is desired.
