Administrative Assistant to the Vice President for Business Affairs and Treasurer

Applications are being accepted for the position of Administrative Assistant to the Vice President of Business Affairs and Treasurer. This position provides a wide range of administrative support for the Business and Human Resources Offices, assists the Vice President for Business Affairs with daily activities and special projects. This position will prepare/compose correspondence, memos, reports and other materials for the Business Office; answer or refer questions from faculty, staff, students and direct visitors, answer phones, direct calls, make referrals and take messages, as well as respond to Business Affairs email and process mail. Schedules appointments and maintains calendar for Vice-President.  Arranges meetings and meeting rooms/equipment, processes incoming mail. Coordinates travel arrangements. Prepares materials for committee and Board of Trustee meetings. Records minutes for Business Affairs committee and various campus committees.

Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent.  A minimum of three years of recent, related experience required. This position requires a high level of interpersonal skills and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations. It also requires exceptional organizational, supervisory, communication, and logistical abilities and attention to detail. Successful applicants must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects at the same time. Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of programs is required, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
