Majors
Major Requirements: A minimum of nine course credits
in History, at least five of which must be at or above the 300 level,
to include three courses at or above the 300 level in one of the following
fields: Europe to 1700 (courses numbered 304 to 312), Europe since 1700
(courses numbered 315 to 330), American and Latin American history (courses
numbered 340 to 369, and 394); and any two courses in History outside
the primary field.
Interdepartmental Majors and Programs: The Department
of History cooperates in offering several interdepartmental majors and
programs: Ethnic Studies, International Business, International Relations,
Latin American Studies, and Russian Studies.
Teaching Certification: For information about teaching
