Founded by an interracial group of influential black’s rights activists, the NAACP is an organization that fights racial discrimination. The association has been very influential in court cases advocating the equal treatment of blacks in public school systems such as Brown vs. Board of Education of Topeka. The NAACP was also the leading force during the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960s.
