The following scholarships and loans are available to United Methodist students:

Iowa United Methodist Foundation
Iowa Conference United Methodist Scholarships: Students who are members of the United Methodist Church in the Iowa Conference may apply for the Iowa Conference United Methodist Scholarship to attend Cornell College. It is available only the first year they attend Cornell College. It is available to both freshmen and transfer students. Applications are available through your local pastor, the Conference headquarters, the Office of Financial Assistance at Cornell College or may be printed from their website; Iowa United Methodist Foundation.

There are a variety of scholarship opportunities through the General Board of Higher Education & Ministry. Please visit their website to learn more about the various scholarships.

United Methodist Higher Education Foundation: Each year applicants are selected for the National United Methodist Scholarships. The amount of the scholarship varies and may be renewable. Recipients are chosen on the basis of scholastic ability, leadership qualities, Christian activities and service, and financial need. To be eligible, the applicant must be a member of the United Methodist Church. The number of awards depends upon funding from the United Methodist Church as a denomination.

The United Methodist Student Loan Program: United Methodist students may apply for a loan from the student loan fund of the General Board of Education of the United Methodist Church, based on the following criteria: evidence of Christian character, satisfactory scholarship, promise of usefulness, financial responsibility and the recommendation of the church to which they belong. The interest rate on the loan is 5% and the maximum amount a student can borrow is $5000.  Please visit their website for additional information and application procedures.
