The link below is to information developed by the American Psychological Association on coping with Hurricane Katrina. The downloadable fact sheet, "Managing Traumatic Stress: After Hurricane Katrina", includes information for people affected directly or indirectly by the hurricane and addresses what people may feel immediately following and long after the hurricane. It also provides strategies for people to help themselves, their families, and children, and for those struggling to cope from afar.
