Diana Krogmeier (above), an art major from Amherst, Colo., works on her street painting at Chalk the Walk, Iowa's first street art festival. The event, held in downtown Mount Vernon, drew more than 200 artists of all abilities, who chalked original works or contributed to a massive re-creation of Grant Wood's "Stone City" (below).
