My fellowship experience: I gained a wealth of knowledge about the process of medical research and gained new perspective on my career aspirations. The SMART program consists of approximately 75 students from around the country who are interested in pursuing medicine or research. It was extremely rewarding and beneficial to interact with other individuals with my interests.
