Aims of the Fellowship
During my time at the Newberry, as part of my fellowship, I
was researching two Early Modern European queens: Marguerite d'Angoulême, Queen of Navarre and sister of
Francois I, the first Valois king of France; and Elizabeth I, Queen of England.
