Assistant Director of the Career Engagement Center
Megan Hicks is the Assistant Director of Career Engagement Center at Cornell College. She is a 2002 graduate of Lawrence University with a degree in Psychology, and also has a master's degree in College Student Personnel from Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio. She is also certified on the Strong Interest Inventory.
She was the Director of Student Activities at Cornell for six years where she worked with the Performing Arts and Activities Council, Homecoming, Family Weekend, New Student Orientation, Wellness Programs, student organizations, and the Thomas Commons Information Desk. Prior to coming to Cornell, Megan was the University Activities Organization graduate advisor at Bowling Green State University.
Megan is a member of the American College Personnel Association (ACPA), has been involved in the National Association of Campus Activities (NACA). More recently she has been involved with the Career Professionals of Iowa as well as the Iowa College Recruiting Network. She has also been involved in the Mount Vernon community on the Heritage Days Festival committee and the Community Development Group. She and her husband Tom live in Cedar Rapids with their daughter Emily.
