Want to Get Outta Town?

Cornell's new "Get Outta Town" (G.O.T.) van shuttle program kicked off the year on Saturday, September 5th with trips to Lake MacBride and Coral Ridge Mall near Iowa City.  Between the two events over 50 students participated.

Here is what participants had to say;

  • "Let me thank everyone who planned the GOT program. It was one of the most wonderful times we had since we got here."
  • "This program further helped improve the friendship between the participants. Therefore, I earnestly look forward to having another GOT event."
  • "It's great to get a feel for the area, especially since many of us are far from home and have no idea what's around."
  • "Being back in nature was nice."
  •   It's great that you are doing this because so many of us don't have cars but really love to be off campus. Also, I think that this program is fostering a spirit of playfulness and adventure that Cornell often overlooks in its programming, This program definitely contributes to producing well-rounded students!

So what is next?  Now we need to know where you want to go next!
