Campus Master Plan

"Pfeiffer Hall will receive a $4 million
renovation as part of Cornell's Master Plan."

This isn’t a campaign for the sake of having a campaign. “Extraordinary Opportunities” focuses on achieving the objectives outlined in the college’s comprehensive Campus Master Plan. Liberal arts education is a high fixed-cost enterprise; Cornell must plan carefully for future academic and financial success. That includes figuring out how to sustain and support new programs and facilities.

This 20-year plan builds on the history, values, and strengths of the college. Phase I, our current focus, includes renovation and construction projects for the next five to eight years. The college is continuing discussion on Phases II and III, looking forward 20 or more years, and on ways to advance its distinctive mission and vision.

Cornell’s current success is the result of prudent planning for more than 150 years. Now we are planning for an even brighter future with expanded facilities, new academic programs, a more significant endowment, and more vibrant Annual Fund support.
