What time is check-in/check-out?

Check-in time is 2 p.m. and check-out time is 10:30 a.m.  Please contact Brackett House if a later check-out time is needed.

Is there internet/TV/phone?

Brackett House has wireless internet access, local cable television is provided in each room, and there are free local phone calls.

Is breakfast included in the cost?

A continental breakfast is available at Brackett House from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. daily.  Other options include eating at Cornell College’s Dining Room or visiting local restaurants.

Where do I park?

Brackett House is located at 418 2nd St. SW and there is a parking located in the back of the house accessible from 2nd St. or 5th Ave.

How far is Brackett House from the Cornell College campus?

Brackett House is located directly across the street from Cornell’s campus and is within walking distance of all the college buildings and downtown Mt. Vernon.

What is the nearest airport?

The nearest airport is the Eastern Iowa Airport located in Cedar Rapids off of Interstate 380.
