Brackett House is located across the street from the Cornell College campus on the corner of Fifth Avenue S and Second Street SW at 418 Second Street SW.

From the US Highway 30 and Iowa Highway 1 intersection, go north on Highway 1 to First Street W (traffic light). Turn west (left) on First Street W to Fifth Avenue S. Turn south (left) on Fifth Avenue S and go one block to Second Street SW.

You will find a "Brackett House" sign on the front lawn. A parking lot is located behind the house, accessible from Second Street SW and Fifth Avenue S. 

NOTE: There is alsSo a  418 Second Street NW  in Mount Vernon, which is a private residence. You will want to make sure you are on Second Street Southwest.
