Insects have been eaten by humans for as long as we've had mouths. They constitute an important part of many people's diets, providing much needed protein and nutrients in otherwise fairly desolate regions of the planet. However, the very idea revolts most Americans. In fact America is the only country in the world that doesn't widely and regularly consume insects.
