Soldier beetles are black or brown, usually with red yellow or orange markings. This kind of beetle is normally found in the eastern United States. They usually grow to be about five to fifteen millimeters in length, and can normally be found on flowers or foliage, where many feed on pollen and nectar. Soldier beetle larvae live under bark or on the ground.
