Killing jars, as the name implies is what people use to catch and preserve insects; or more specificly beetles. Any kind of jar can be used, preferably if it has an wide lid. Just put paper towel down soaked in ethonol put in the beetle and close the lid. The jar will fumagate the beetle and help to preserve it without damage. The jar should not be used for anything else besides killing insects.
