Adults feeding on viburnum leaf.

The leaf beetle is a common pest mainly in Minnesota who attacks trees and shrubs. The three main species are the Elm leaf beetle, the Cottonwood leaf beetle and the Willow leaf beetle. The leaf beetle lay their eggs on the tree's leaves. By feeding on mature and healthy trees, these leaf beetles do cause damage. In some cases, feeding on stressed and older trees have resulted in the tree's death
