Back to Cassie and Caroline

The Preying Mantis is a slow moving carnivore that is concealed bye its own protective coloring. They wait for prey to wander within their grasping forelegs. Mantis camouflage is a great help when it comes to catching prey. In the picture at the left the mantis blends in with the leaves waiting for prey.
