These caterpillars may look almost cute, but their green exterior spines, if touched, will give a stinging sensation. They enjoy feeding most on fruit plants, such as cherry and apple, and also delight in rose bushes. Their green exterior, though dangerous if touched, also helps them to blend in with the leaves of the plants that they feed on.
