Jumping Bristetail

Jumping bristetails get their name from their jumping reaction when they are disturbed. Adults are from 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch long. Bristletails can enter the home through old books and papers. They can damage books, paper, and wallpaper by leaving marks on the surface. They also feed on oats, beef, flour, and starch. Bristetails usually breed and live in warm, humid places like walls, attics, and floors.
