Integrated Pest Management

Integrated Pest Management is how people, mostly farmers, control pests in their crops. Rather than applying pesticides, or chemicals that kill pests, farmers are performing check-ups on their crops to make sure that there are no weeds or pests in them. When there is evidence of a pest, farmers try to trap the pest, place another insect in their field that will eat the pest, and disrupt the pests' mating and growth. If all of these options fail, then the farmers will spray pesticides to get rid of the pests.
