A
Yucca moth

Y is for Yucca moth. You can find Yucca moths pollinating Yucca flowers in most parts of Colorado. The Yucca moth, and the Yucca flower depend on each other for survival. The Yucca moths mate inside the flower. The caterpillars then lives inside the Yucca pod, and feeds on Yucca seeds that result from their mother's work as a pollinator. The interaction between insect and plant is truly remarkable.
