A
Wood Borers

W is for Wood borers. Wood borers can be found in trees within the mountains, among other places. They make their homes in different woods and logs, they usually prefer different types of firewood. Because wood is not very nutritous, Wood borers have extremely long life cycles; and can stay in a piece of wood for years. They sometimes emerge from the wood once the wood is made into furniture. They rarely attack healthy wood, and do not produce a great amount of dust when eating their way through a piece of wood. Wood borers may bite if handled, but are not considered dangerous.
