Viruses

V is for Viruses. Insect viruses can be a beneficial use for pest control all over the world, not just in the mountains of Colorado. They have a number of advantages over the traditional chemical pesticides. Viruses are target-specific, therefore theywill not harm beneficial insects. Many scientists have been studying the use of viruses as pest control, and some farmers have tried using it to eliminate unwanted pests.
