| Narrow winged damselflies are found near slow moving streams. Young damselflies are called naiads because they are fully aquatic. The damselfly looks similar to a dragonfly, however damselflies hold their wings above thier bodies when not in flight. Dragonflies are not able to fold thier wings in this manner. Many damselflies are named after their colors, common varieties include Violet Tails and Bluets. The damselfly is prey to many fish but is also a predator of tadpoles, aquatic insects and other aquatic animals. | |||||
