Dragonflies and damselflies are one of the closest relatives that we show on our website. These insects are close relatives in the order Ordonata. Dragonflies and damselflies are known for their beautifully colored exoskeleton and their amazing flying ability. The only physical differences between the two is size and their wings when at rest. Damselflies are slightly smaller than Dragonflies. Also, Dragonflies hold out their wings horizontally while damselflies hold their wings vertically. Both insects lay their eggs in water where they will hatch into larvae. |
