This is the scientific name of the wasp family. This family is one of the largest within the hymenoptera order. Within this family are wasps, bees, ants and sawflies. These insects habitats are not only near water, such as wetlands but in forest and urban areas. The bees and wasps are known for the painful sting and if one is allergic to them, they could end up in the hospital.
